Forza Horizon 6’s launch in Japan was the period’s biggest addition, bringing the open-world racer to Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Steam with six biomes and more than 550 cars. The follow-up cadence added the Italian Passion Car Pack, Horizon Decades, Horizon Mascot Party, and the permanent Drift Attack experience.
- Horizon Japan: The launch introduced the dense Japan map, including the Plains, Coast, Alpine, Lowlands, and Highlands biomes, alongside Tokyo City. The Festival Playlist and Car Pass established the ongoing reward stream, with the latter delivering 30 weekly cars.
- Italian Passion Car Pack: The pack launched with four Italian cars for Premium Edition owners and separate purchase, while the Italian Exotics series added themed events, a Badge, a Collectible, and rewards such as the 2024 Lamborghini Temerario and 2022 Ferrari 296 GTB.
- Drift Attack: The new permanent activity transformed the Shimanoyama Circuit into a drift-scoring course with Clipping Zones. It also added the drift-focused 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition as a collection reward.
- Horizon Legend and new activities: The Horizon Legend progression system let players earn Wristbands to unlock stronger vehicles. Touge Races, Time Attack Circuits, Drag Meets, Car Meets, and Custom Garages and Estates expanded racing, social, and ownership options.
- Horizon Mascot Party: This limited-time series added the Edamame Time Attack Circuit, mascot-themed EventLab props, new challenges, and rewards including the 1970 Honda N600, 1967 Renault 8 Gordini, and Dango Outfit.
- Driving and economy tuning: Drivatar AI received difficulty and corner-entry collision adjustments, Drag Tires became less effective in corners, and Auto Drive rewards were rebalanced to curb farming. The Auction House also removed its price cap for cars unavailable through the Autoshow, while the Rivals Leaderboards were reset after exploit-driven entries.
