El Diablo Islands launched for the Steam version of How to Survive, extending the original story with a three-island volcanic region, new quests, characters, weapons, and hazards. One Shot Escape and Barricade! later added two focused survival scenarios, while the Storm Warning Edition bundled the available DLC.
- El Diablo Islands: The DLC let players continue the original campaign or restart it in its extended form.
- Volcano: Added three volcanic islands with lava flows, toxic clouds, electric pylons, and new weather effects including fog and storms.
