The October 23, 2016 update introduced significant new mechanics to the Just Cause 2 Multiplayer Mod, including the LocalPlayerExitVehicle and EntityBulletHit events, enhancing player interactions. Additionally, several notable balance changes were made to achievements, particularly the Only Human and Firestarter achievements, making them more accessible.
- New Events: The LocalPlayerExitVehicle event now activates when a vehicle is removed while the player is inside, and the EntityBulletHit event triggers upon hitting players or NPCs with bullets.
- Achievement Adjustments: The Only Human achievement mechanics were modified to spread virally, allowing players to gain it by killing those who already have it. The Firestarter achievement requirement was lowered from 3,000 kills to 1,000 kills.
- Vehicle Mechanics: The game fixed multiple vehicle-related bugs, such as a bug that caused vehicles to become invulnerable if repaired while about to explode and issues with players getting stuck on bikes when attempting to steal them.
- Quality of Life Improvements: Various improvements were made, including the re-enabling of SSAO in the options window and fixing a bug where RakNet created an unintended listen socket on port 80.
