Running with Heat – Summer Event 2026 delivered the window’s biggest addition, introducing THE AGENT as a new VIP character alongside event rewards and Cooler Boxes. THE AGENT also brought new mission mechanics, while Running with Easter Bunnies Event 2026 returned with its own limited-time goodies.

Halloween Event 2025 returned with new enemies and features, while WW2 Undead gained a new map, faction, vehicle, and Halloween soldier classes. Running with Summerfeelings Event 2025 also brought new equipment and event-specific additions, including the VIP escort objective.

  • Halloween and WW2 Undead content: The event substantially expanded the mode with several named additions.
    • Operation Sealion added a new WW2 Undead map, alongside the playable Soviet faction.
    • Halloween Box 3 delivered unique items and 10 new weapons.
    • The Sidecar Bike, Evil Commander, Fire Demon, Pumpkin Knight, and Pumpkin Skeleton joined the mode.
  • New missions and equipment: June added a new objective, weapons, and loot, while Easter introduced its own named enemy and rewards.
    • The VIP blue-helmet war reporter became an escort objective, with artillery targeting the character after too much time away from the frontline.
    • Water Gun, ASM-VAL, P416, and Benelli M3 were among the new weapons; Cooling Box 3 added random equipment drops.
    • Cheeky Bunny appeared as an online Invasion enemy alongside Easter eggs and other Easter goodies.
  • Seasonal events: Running with Easter Bunnies added the Cheeky Bunny and Easter items, while Running with Summerfeelings Event 2025 expanded its content and received a 10-day extension. X-MAS Event 2026 introduced BAD SANTA, elves, and nutcrackers.
  • Gameplay and balance: VIP escorting received the most meaningful rule changes: only nearby escorts earned reward tickets, the VIP moved 25% slower, had shorter stun duration, spawned at a 40% rate on designated maps, and no longer suffered stun results from melee hits against the VIP vest. The P416 received a projectile-speed buff, the Water Gun gained a player-death lock, Crossbow crouch accuracy improved, and Grenadiers stopped causing friendly fire.

The Veteran Pack DLC released with expanded stash capacity, new soldier models, vehicle skins, custom animations, and the VFS light anti-tank vehicle drop. The Swan River map and the reworked WW2: Undead mode then added the period’s biggest free content, alongside new flamethrower equipment and seasonal events.

  • Veteran Pack: The DLC increased the stash from 300 to 500 slots and added Veteran Pack skins, a chat icon, radio call content, custom animations, and the VFS anti-tank vehicle. The alternate rubber boat and VFS became enterable by all players.
  • Swan River: The 19-base map arrived in Vanilla and Edelweiss Invasion and Quick Match, then expanded into WW2: Undead content.
    • Swan River KotH Substage: A new King of the Hill substage, decoration cars, revised textures, new music, and map balancing expanded the map.
    • Swan River Missile Launcher: The exclusive defense structure received eight protectors, while dedicated medical crates and destructible fences added new tactical options.
    • Swan River WW2: Undead: The map joined the campaign with Allied representation from the Polish Armored Division.
  • WW2: Undead: The mode was reworked and expanded with the Flammenwerfer 41, the WW2-Undead Flammenwerfer Soldier, the Wasp Flamethrower-APC, and the Beardmore-Farquhar .50 cal Machine Gun.
  • Combat balance: Man vs. Zombies received stronger M202, Desert Eagle, Claymore, and Microgun damage, revised RP income, and shorter stun animations. Faction-specific grenade launchers replaced the universal M79, overall grenade-launcher damage increased, the Dragunov SVD received a PvP recovery-time nerf, and mortars gained 360-degree firing.
  • Seasonal events: The Halloween Event brought back Rippers and Pumpkin Boxes, including the Halloween Box in the single-player campaign, while the Xmas Event added the Bad Santa enemy and Xmas Box.

Man vs. Zombies arrived as both a Halloween mode and a dedicated two-player cooperative mode, giving Running with Rifles its biggest new gameplay experience in the period. Community Box #4 also expanded the arsenal with grenade launchers, a blowgun, and the golden AK47, while Running with the Dead brought a survivor-versus-zombies event.

  • Zombie modes and event: Man vs. Zombies added a Halloween take on Man vs. World, while Running with the Dead let players join the survivors faction and fight zombies on the Moorland Apocalypse map.
  • Maps and invasion content:
    • Operation Downfall entered the vanilla online invasion rotation after its Pacific campaign appearance.
    • Green Coast added a modified Downfall map for vanilla gameplay.
    • Rattlesnake Crescent received a reverse assault variant that started players at the Mosque without combat vehicles.
    • Moorland Apocalypse joined the invasion map rotator and Quick Match.
  • Weapons, classes, and battlefield tools:
    • Community Box #3 added more than a dozen items and expanded modding options, followed by Community Box #4 and its new weapons.
    • The Grenadier became a new soldier class using faction-specific grenade launchers.
    • Lonewolf introduced a stealth-focused sniper with a ghillie suit and suppressed rifle.
    • The Elite Reinforcement Paratrooper Call, Repair Crane, and Ice Cream Van added new reinforcement and vehicle options.
  • Combat and systems tuning: Operation Downfall received balance and phase-controller changes, while the Type 92 HMG, M1919A4, Landing Craft, Pillboxes, and Ka Tsu were retuned. The A-10 Gun Run launched faster and dealt more damage, and C4 Blast became exclusive to Dominance mode.
  • Modding and AI tools: Notify Script, expanded following and squad-joining AI parameters, Squad Size character information, and Damage as Probability in blast results gave creators more control over custom scenarios.

Pacific Update expanded the Pacific campaign with the Imperial Japanese Navy as a playable faction, new weapons and vehicles, and additional maps. Dominance introduced a more deterministic PvP format, while Veteran difficulty and expanded Man vs. World added tougher and more cooperative ways to play.

  • Pacific campaign: The Pacific Update added IJN Special Naval Landing Forces, the M55 Reising, Type Hei automatic rifle, Type 4 Ka-Tsu amphibious carrier, and a large Pacific map. A separate tank-focused map centered on the assault up Hell’s Highway also joined the rotation.
  • Modes and difficulty: Dominance replaced random outcomes with a health-point-style system, and Veteran difficulty enabled true Field of View. Man vs. World expanded to two-player co-op, gained Casual difficulty, and received the Bandage healing item.
  • Tutorials and equipment: The Journal Notes system taught campaign events and game elements through notes and images. Backpack and inventory encumbrance were reworked with linear movement and accuracy penalties, while deployable emplacement markers and squadmate-operated deployable weapons improved battlefield setup.
  • Combat and campaign balance: Campaign commander AI was rebalanced to improve pacing and regroup forces after captured bases, while the Banzai Charge was weakened and US forces were increased on beach-landing maps. The Type 99 “Hi-Grade” Rifle also added a more accurate elite weapon option.
  • Community and modding: Community Box #2 added community-created items, costumes, and vehicles. Mod support gained character spawn, death, and kill events, vest-repair hooks, configurable footstep intervals, and new stabbing sound keys.

Final Mission II and Railroad Gap expanded online cooperative Invasion and Quick Match, with Railroad Gap adding a desert-themed battlefield. The same major content drop introduced Frozen Canyon, the Vulcan Tank and Buggy, EOD armor, and new weapons including the Microgun, Javelin, Benelli M4, and Kriss Vector.

  • New maps and modes: Final Mission II joined online cooperative Invasion, while Railroad Gap entered Invasion and Quick Match. Frozen Canyon also entered the Invasion and Dominance rotators, and Copehill Down joined the Dominance rotation.
  • New equipment:
    • Vulcan Tank and Buggy: Added a minigun-mounted tank and fast combat transport.
    • Microgun, Javelin, Benelli M4, and Kriss Vector: Added rare heavy, anti-tank, stealth shotgun, and stealth weapon options.
    • EOD armor and camouflage suits: Added explosion-resistant armor and AI-detection-reducing camouflage.
    • Mini Uzi, Steyr TMP, and AEK-919k: Added secondary machine pistols, alongside the Vest Type I and binoculars.
    • MG-42, Lahti-L39, and Sawn-off Shotgun: Added very rare weapons in February.
  • Progression and multiplayer: Steam Achievements and Trading Cards arrived, General of the Army ranks received custom uniforms and elite soldier models in Dominance, and server-side sight-range and camera controls strengthened Dominance rules.
  • Combat and balance: The MG-42’s magazine doubled to 150 rounds, the WB-II Microgun became stronger, Javelin despawn time rose from 45 to 90 seconds, Claymore blast radius increased to 6 meters, and the maximum RP value rose from 1,000 to 2,000. Explosions also interacted more predictably with vests, while the Buggy received revised cover, seating priority, and call costs.
  • Campaign and AI: Additional spawners activated at a 25% lower threshold, bots stopped oscillating between guarding and approaching deployed weapons, and AI used available calls more intelligently. The Weapon Duplication Exploit, Equipment Duplication Exploit, and Reloading Animation Skip Exploit were also removed.
