Year 5
Apr 2, 2019 - Apr 2, 2020
Duga Radar Station, Survarium’s largest map, launched in December 2019 with Battery Retrieval, Research, and Team Deathmatch variants. Search and Destroy became permanent, while the Weapon Camouflage System and reworked artifact skills added meaningful progression and loadout flexibility.
- Major map and mode content: Duga Radar Station expanded the playable space, while Gun Race returned for the Holiday Season with a weapon-progression format featuring snowballs and icicles. Search and Destroy also became a permanent mode with updated rewards.
- New systems and equipment: The Weapon Camouflage System let players move camouflages and modules between identical weapon models while preserving modifiers. The Technical and Survival skill trees joined the roster, the Anomaly skill tree was reworked, and Workshop crafting turned spare parts into modules.
- Flashbang grenade: The Scavengers gained a first-tier flashbang that blinded and deafened nearby characters.
- AKMSU: The Renaissance Army received the tier-four AKMSU, including the event-exclusive AKMSU “Hot Sun.”
- Winchester 1894: The rifle returned with three unique modules, including an optics rail, “Maxim” silencer, and bullet loops.
- Competitive systems: Rating Matches and League Tokens expanded ranked play, with equipment-tier matchmaking using Elo ratings. Players could lose ranking stars without dropping below rank five, while severely unbalanced Team Deathmatch and Slaughter matches ended early and still granted scaled rewards.
- Combat and balance: The Benelli M4, Saiga-12, Vepr-12, Pancor Jackhammer, SPAS-12, and MP-153 “Baikal” received shotgun buffs. The 9A-91 and OTs-14 “Groza” gained rate-of-fire increases, while the PKP “Pecheneg” lost access to vertical grips and artifact skills such as Onyx and Knowledge of Artifacts were retuned.
- Seasonal events: Summer Heat 2019, Halloween, the Holiday Season, and St. Patrick’s Day offered event currencies, ranked rewards, weapon camos, decals, and limited equipment. St. Patrick’s Day added the “St. Patrick Day Skull” decal, camouflaged weapons, and the Green Hat 2020 reward.
Year 4
Apr 2, 2018 - Apr 2, 2019
Search and Destroy became Survarium’s biggest new mode, introducing artifact-delivery rounds in which attackers faced defenders and the first team to score five won. CNPP Cooling Tower added a new PvP location with a rainy variant, while the Technical Skill Tree expanded progression with abilities such as The Last Chance and Capacitor M2.
- Search and Destroy: The mode launched with the Spring Festival, then powered the Halloween 2018 and St. Patrick’s Day events. Matches rotated through An abandoned base, School, and Vostok Radar Station, with event currencies redeemable for weapons and decals; the first cooperative story mission also arrived alongside the Spring Festival.
- New map and weapons: CNPP Cooling Tower joined the map pool for Slaughter and team battles, later receiving rainy weather. The AKMSU assault rifle arrived for the Renaissance Army with new modules, while the L85A2 “St. Patrick” became the headline St. Patrick’s Day reward.
- Progression and PvE: The Technical Skill Tree added abilities including The Last Chance, Capacitor M2, Experienced Sapper, Metal Detector, and Jagged Edges. The Reputation System Rework added prestige levels that awarded skill points, while Team Missions dropped to three difficulties and removed entrance fees.
- Matchmaking and combat overhaul: Unified Matchmaking consolidated queues, following the move to a single equipment-based matchmaking level. The October 31 weapon rebalance retuned every weapon tier, reduced recoil, individualized dispersion, restored armor-piercing indicators, and reworked equipment modifiers; the Pockets System also limited supplies to five pockets and eight capacity.
- Seasonal competition: Faction Challenge let players earn reputation for the Renaissance Army, Fringe Settlers, Scavengers, or Black Market and unlock faction weapons. League Season added ranked battles, equipment-tier groups, tokens, and rank protection below rank five, while Halloween 2018 supplied special currencies, masks, and camouflaged weapons.

Year 2
Apr 2, 2016 - Apr 2, 2017
Artifact Hunt was the standout new mode, sending two teams after the Radiance of the Forest artifact and adding delivery-based scoring. The late-March overhaul also reshaped combat with armor sets, new weapon characteristics, and Random Battle and Ranking Matches.
- Artifact Hunt: Teams fought to capture Radiance of the Forest and deliver it to their base; tied matches entered a three-minute final round without resurrection.
- Combat and equipment overhaul: The March 30 changes introduced light, medium, and heavy armor, armor-set bonuses, common and armor-piercing ammunition, unique recoil patterns, stopping power, bleed chance, revised penetration, and shotgun shot grouping. The Shooting Ground testing location and variations of School, Rudnya, Mamayev Kurgan, and London also arrived.
- Competitive structure and AI: Random Battle and Ranking Matches separated casual and competitive play, with solo-only ranked matches, gear-bracket matchmaking, league progression, and revised rewards. Bots expanded from newcomer training into all modes and maps, including objective play in Research.
- Arsenal and progression:
- Fort-401, L85A2, and Pancor Jackhammer expanded the weapon roster, while MP-443 Grach, CZ-75, Beretta 93R, and C-4 followed.
- Daily Quests and Daily Rewards added recurring objectives and login bonuses, while weapon modules expanded equipment customization.
- FN SCAR-H and FN P90 served as exclusive ranked rewards, including the Red Fire Rooster camouflage.
